Walmart Photo Checkout
Project Type: Ecommerce Website, Self-Service

Walmart’s online photo service needed a refresh to better meet customer expectations. User research revealed some usability issues, unclear messaging and perceived quality issues. Key areas to address were nomenclature, messaging about timing and the selection of a delivery method. Challenges included the impact of in-store photo center service and an outsourced product platform.

Usability testing was conducted iteratively and covered both competitive sites and the new design. The redesign of the checkout process along with recommendations for the product platform increased photo’s customer satisfaction scores significantly.
